In nearly any other modern game that would be a full stop and no go, due to insufficient VRAM. He is trying to play a game in 2020, with the onboard video chip. That isn't WG's fault.Īs an example, right here in this thread, we have a player trying to run the game, with no gaming GPU, at all. The problem isn't so much the game, it's that the playerbase of the game generally runs much older hardware than more popular games. This game is very easy to run compared to anything modern and AAA, which is expected. It's basically a tiny map, with a bunch MORE stuff overlayed on top. It's 3D rendered (including your ship) and has a lot of the same assets loaded as when your ship is in a match. The "port" in this game, isn't a menu in the traditional sense. My fans are running at the same speed they do, when I don't have the game running but they will step up one increment after a while. I am running at 1440 with all graphics options turned up to maximum and if I unlock frame rate it still pushes past 100fps in matches. My CPU is sitting at 63% and my GPU at 60%. My computer is about 4 years old at this point, which is fairly dated for a gaming PC. OP, just minimize the game and it won't make your fans scream. How much money has all their customers collectively paid in unnecessarily electrical bills over the year for no other reason than gross incompetence? It has been going on for years. It is unbelievable that a company can be so grossly incompetent that they have ports that max out GPU's of customers computers just sitting in Port, every Port.
